Willis Calverley

Willis Houston Sonny Calverley, age 73, of Terrell, passed away on June 10, 2010. He was born October 26, 1936 in Denton County, the son of Charles Mallow and Edith Agatha (Riley) Calverley. He married Paula Odessa Morphis on September 5, 1953 in Garland. He was previous owner of Terrell Glass and Mirror. He was a member of the Masons for over 45 years and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Calverley is survived by his wife Paula; three sons, Willie Ray Calverley and wife Alanna of Wylie, Brian Kirk Calverley and wife Sherry of Terrell, and Carl Bret Calverley and wife Brenda of Lowell, MA; seven grandchildren, Matt Calverley, Abby Martin and husband Joey, Niki Calverley, all of Wylie, Brian Calverley and wife Valarie of Burleson, Tammy Fieldsmith and husband Joey of Rockwall, Carissa Montminy and husband Kevin of New Hampshire, and Bret Calverley and wife Tiffany of Massachusetts; six great grandchildren, Jacob and Jared Calverley of Burleson, Charlotte Fieldsmith of Rockwall, Caleb Calverley of Wylie, Hallie Martin of Wylie, and Tyler Montminy of New Hampshire; one brother, Donnie Mayfield; two sisters, Jean Croley and husband Bob of Garland, and Dorothy Acuff of Colorado Springs. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Edith Calverley. His funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, is Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 10 AM in the funeral homes chapel with Rev. Al Draper officiating. Private interment will follow the service in Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Collin County. Visitation with the family is Friday, 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
