Walter Fisher, Jr.

Walter Raymond Fisher, Jr., age 98, of Forney, Texas passed away Thursday, March 08, 2018 in Mesquite, Texas. Walt was born on November 26, 1919 the son of Walter Raymond and Eunice Lafayette Fisher in Hammond, Illinois. He served in the United States Navy and worked in the Aerospace industry with McDonnell-Douglas for over 42 years. Walt married Mary Alice Spires in Decatur, Illinois in 1940. She preceded him in death in June of 2003.

Those left to cherish Walt's memory are his daughter Lynn Fisher; son, W.R. (Ray) Fisher; and grandchildren, Robert L. Dean and Ray G. Dean. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gene Fisher.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney, Texas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Goggans Funeral Home.
