Vivian Witt

Vivian Irene Witt, 102, of Terrell, passed away on January 11, 2011. Irene was born on February 7, 1908 in Elmo, the daughter of John and Lena (Perry) Breckenridge. She married W. C. Witt and he precedes her in death. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Terrell First Missionary Baptist Church and she played the clarinet in the Terrell State Hospital Band. She is also preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charlie A. Waldrop; daughter, Linda Waldrop; infant son, Waldrop; grandson, David Hudson; three brothers, Ray Breckenridge and wife Ruth, Roy Breckenridge and wife Ruth, and Floyd Breckenridge and wife Louise; stepson, Col. Jimmy Witt and his wife Madelaine; stepdaughter, Pat Gibson and her husband Gib. Mrs. Witt is survived by her daughter, Shirley J. Hudson and her husband Ronald of Morgan; her son Charles G. Waldrop and his wife Pamela of Ft. Worth; her sister, Faye Nelson of Terrell; grandchildren, Christina Wells and husband Brent, David Waldrop, Mark J. Hudson and wife Karen, James R. Hudson and wife Amy, Paulette Gibson; great-grandchildren, Rachel Hudson, Marianne Hudson, David J. Hudson; and nephews, Don and Jerry Nelson. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 15, in the funeral home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Hudson officiating. Visitation with the family is Saturday from 12 to 2 pm at the funeral home.
