Terrance “ Terry’ Ralph Hanby

Born April 1st 1956 – July 1Oth 2024

Terry is Proceeded in Death which means “Welcomed into Heaven by loved ones that have passed before you” Terry is welcomed by his father Otis Ralph Hanby his mother Jenny Lynn Willams and his Great grand daughter Roune Josephine Wright. We can be reassured that he is not alone in his journey but was welcomed with lots of love and lots of hugs.

Terry is survived by the love of his life for more than 28 years his wife Sharon Marie Hanby. His Three children Tifany Irene Harden, David Ray Holland, and Katrina Danyel White. Terry has 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, for which will know the love he had for each and every one of them.

Terry also leaves behind two younger brothers Michael Hanby and Otis Hanby. Between Mike and Otis they have always looked up to him and admired the brother, the husband, the father, and the friend Terry was.

Terry was born in Mount Clemens Michigan which many people did not know, it was kinda a family secret. He claimed he was born and raised in Texas and believe you me he would argue to this day. Believe you me we never let him forget it…

Terry never had any natural children of his own but when he married Sharon boy did he get to be a dad. She gave him three kids that he was proud to call his own. Terry never said he had step kids he always said these are my kids and no one could say different. That poor man never knew what hit him. He stood beside all three of them through some of the worst times of their lives and celebrated every achievement that they had.

In 1995 he became a grandfather for the first time, he could not have been happier. My goodness that poor man it never stopped after that he got to welcome 11 more grandbabies.

Terry had the honor to raise two of his granddaughters he took it with a special kind of happiness. He knew that he was all they had and he stepped up to the plate without a second thought. But I’m pretty sure he never changed a diaper.

That man never stopped no matter what was going on he always showed up and never let no one down. He did not know how to.

In the early 2000’s he had a granddaughter that became very sick that man would go to work everyday then go to the hospital to be with her that way she knew her Papa was there.

In 2006 he found out that he had to have heart surgery but at the same time we were expecting another baby by his youngest daughter. He had his surgery then he was told that things didn’t go as planned. His granddaughter was born perfect but his baby was in bad shape. So he made sure he made it to her bedside so when she woke up he was sitting there to reassure her he was right there fighting with her.

Terry faced many medical problems for several years but it never stopped him from being the dad he was born to be.

In October of 2015 he welcomed his first great grandbaby after that 10 more came. Boy was he excited. All the kids and all the grand kids he raised and got to watch grow up now are giving him great grandbabies I don’t believe that man could have loved life more.

Terry is going to live in the hearts of his wife his kids and his brothers, but for the love that he had will live forever in his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.

To the husband you are, the father you are, to the papa, and to the great papa you will always be

WE LOVE YOU and YOU ARE ALREADY MISSED BEYAND WORDS.
