Sylvia Elaine (Howard) Hull, 71, lifelong resident of Terrell, passed away on November 2, 2009 in a Dallas Hospital. Sylvia was born March 30, 1938 in Terrell, the daughter of Walter Monroe and Lucille Betty (McMahen) Howard. She graduated from Terrell High School in 1956. She married Gerald Delbert Hull on February 10, 1961 in Dallas. She worked for the Paper Factory in Terrell and was a secretary for First Baptist Church of Terrell for a number of years. She was an active member of Bible Baptist Church in Terrell. Sylvia is survived by her husband Gerald D. Hull, Sr.; two daughters, Cynthia Gail Hull of Terrell and Tammy Annette Gillispie and her husband Wayne of Haskell; two sons, Gerald Delbert Hull, Jr. and his wife Tracy of Kaufman and Jeffrey Scott Hull and his wife Heather of Kaufman; seven grandchildren, Taylor Hull, Cindy Gillispie, Hailey Monroe Hull, Harleigh Hull, Brett Hull, Scottie Hull, and Colton Hull; one sister, Dianne Furrh; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. Sylvia is preceded in her death by her parents; brothers, Ken and J. E. Howard; and brother-in- law Mickey Furrh. Her funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home (www.goggansfh.com), will be Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 2:00 pm Bible Baptist Church, with Pastor Glen Goodson and Brother Jimmy Sheppard officiating. Her burial will follow the service at Oakland Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
