Sharon Wright

Sharon Adoris Colbey Wright passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, October 15, 2021 in Dallas, TX. She was born on February 17, 1944 in Texarkana, TX to John and Lola Rena Colbey and they both welcomed her into heaven along with her son, Kenneth R. Ainsworth; grandson, James Ray Ainsworth; granddaughter Chelsea; and many brothers, sisters, and friends that had gone before her.

Sharon attended Texas High School and was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Terrell. Sharon was employed with Howmet/Vistawall and then became a homemaker. Sharon loved traveling with her husband, Dewey, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Dewey Nathaniel Wright of Terrell; son, Rickey and wife Jana Ainsworth and their daughter, Amanda of Elmo; granddaughters, Christina Ainsworth and Gina Jones; daughter, Tina and husband Jeff Bishop of Forney, along with their children, Christina, Lindsey, John and Dustin Bishop; daughter, Sheila and husband Ricky Moody and their son Joshua, of Terrell; sister, Helen and husband Skip Clayton of Plano; stepson, David Allen Wright; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Sarah, Ashlyn, Nathan, Christian, Brennan, Rylan, Rani, Raegan, Jada, Jasmine, Ja'Kayla, Kayleb, Brella, Brenlee, Chance and Melissa; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives, a host of friends and her beloved pet, Chuy.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the City of Terrell Animal Shelter.
