Sammie Mosley

Sammie Lee Mosley, 73, passed away at her home in Kaufman, Texas on Friday November 29, 2013. Sammie was born August 31, 1940 to John C and Sadie A, Cooper in Kemp, Texas. She would later marry Leonard "Smoky" Mosley. Sammie was a "Jack of all trades" and wore many hats during her life. But her favorite hats were Mother and Grandmother. Sammie loved many things, but her passion was her family. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren; brothers and sisters. Her sharp wit, dry humor, infectious smile and hearty laugh will truly be missed. Sammie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Sadie; her husband "Smoky"; sons John Jr. and Jerry Clayton; grandsons, Bobby and Jonathan; brothers Buddy, Jerry and Gene; sisters, Faye Annie, Bobbie and Bernice. Those left to celebrate her life include her daughters, Tamera Richards and her husband Re'ne and Patricia Beaupre; grandchildren, David, Andrew, Kyle, Josh, Zach, Austin, Albert, Thomas and Kristen; great-grandchildren, Eliaana, Hezekiah, Rachel and Ashton; brothers Tom and Johnny; sisters, Susie and Elaine; as well as numerous extended family members, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The interment at Kaufman City Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
