Ruth Nier

Ruth Nier, 77, of Terrell passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital (Seasons Hospice).

Ruth was born September 17, 1939 in New York City, NY. She was married to Butch Nier, who preceded her in death.

She retired from The Fashion Institute of Technology New York, New York, as Professor at the age of 74.

Ruth was an avid quilter and won many prizes, including a 2nd place prize at the State Fair of Texas. She was a member of several quilting gilds. She also was a pet lover and rescued many needy cats.
