Russel Roderick Butler of Arlington, Rod to his family and friends. Passed away on December 19th, 2022, at the age of 91 in Athens Tx. Rod was born in Crosby Arkansas on March 20th, 1931, to Nancy Inez Russell and Carthuel Eugene Butler. Rod grew up and went to school in Texas where his family moved when he was still young. Rod served in the Army as a Materials Clerk deployed to Germany during the Korean war from 1951- 1953. Rod worked most of his life as small engine mechanic, even owning and operating his own shop for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dancing at the Moose Lodge and of course as everyone who knew him could attest, Lincoln automobiles. Rod is survived by his daughter Gail Lemon, grandson Robert Stone and Wife Tawyna, and great grandson Cody Stone. He is also survived by stepchildren Larry, Dennis Cheryl, Kathy, Ronnie, Margie and Carolyn. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, including Cheyenne, Cayden and Ellie whom he was especially close to. He was preceded in death by HIs Mother and Father, Brothers, Duane and Johnny, Sister Ellen, daughter Kristy Hoosier and Betty his Loving Wife of 28 yrs. and his last love Linda. Memorial services will be held at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington on March 4th at 2pm
