Roland Davis, Sr.

Roland Duane Davis, Sr., 56, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 18, 2015 in Jim Wells County Texas. Roland was born October 6, 1958 to Richard and Kay Davis in Bexar County Texas. Roland met and later married Debby Jablonski. Roland was an truck driver all his professional life - over forty years. He drove for several companies including Sugar Foods and Great White, but was an independent owner operator for the past several years. Roland loved the outdoors. He loved to fish and play golf; but his greatest passion was for his family. Roland loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved being "Poppy" to his kids and grandkids. Roland has an infectious smile; a contagious laugh; an open heart and giving spirit that will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory include his adored wife, Debby Davis; children, Roland Davis, Jr. and his wife Crystal, Cheyenne-Autumn Davis, Chance Davis, Danny Bock and his wife Lacey, Tanner Anderson and his wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Hunter Davis, Zieg Bock, Marley Bock, Ditto Bock and Grace Anderson;father, Richard Davis; mother, Kay Harrington; brothers, Rick Davis and his wife Jennifer, Ronnie Davis, Rusty Davis, Robert Davis and his wife Betty, Frankie Ferguson and his wife Sandy; sister, Clarice Davis; as well as numerous extended family; friends and neighbors. A celebration of Roland's life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Terrell, Texas.
