Bob was born on December 7th, 1935 in Washington D.C. to Charles and Elsie Talbert Shelton. He married the love of his life, Anita Rodgers Shelton on July 11th, 2008 in Dallas, TX. Bob served in the USAF, he retired as a CPA, and also worked as a surveyor for Ward North American Van Lines. His passion was music playing Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, and Keyboard and was a lover of Bluegrass, Country, and Gospel music. He was a performer at the Long Horn Ballroom in Dallas, as well as he played in various bands through out the years including Prairie Wind Blue Grass Band and 2 or more Bluegrass Band. His music ministry was with Heartland Harmony and One Way Express Band and played piano at Fellowship Baptist Church.

Bob is survived by his wife Anita G. Rodgers Shelton of Forney; daughters Morris Shelton Baker of Royce City; Ronita Brice and husband James of Forney; son Charles Shelton and wife Hope of Combine; Grandchildren Avery, Whytni, and Preslee Brice, Robert Shelton, Matt & Laura Shelton, Dana and Blake Hill, Terry Cloud, Jodie Tucker, Melissa Shelton and Ruth-Ann Spurlock; and great grand children Avery Joy Cloud and Luke Hill and various other family members.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Charles Shelton & Elsie Talbert Shelton of West Virginia; brother Talbert Shelton of New Jersey; brother Jimmy Shelton of Orlando, FL; son Shawn Paul Shelton of Mesquite, TX and son Joseph Shelton of Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home Terrell, TX.
