Robert L. Folmar

Robert Lee Folmar was born on July 12, 1958 in Zavalla, Texas to parents Alton Folmar, Jr. and Viola Jean Folmar. He passed on Monday, December 23, 2024 in Rowlett, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers William Alton Folmar and David Allen Folmar, and sister Cindy Marie Folmar. He is survived by his daugter Tiffany Hurst and her husband Leif, grandchildren Hudson and London Hurst, brother Alton Folmar, nephews James and Austin Folmar, cousin and best friend Shannon Tompkins and his wife Susie, Lacey Higginbotham and her mother Susan, step-sons James and Jeremy Epton, as well as many other family members and friends.

Bob spent over four decades as a craftsman in his trade, residential and commercial plumbing, where he was able to open his own business, First Choice Plumbing. He was an outdoors man at heart. He spent countless weekends tending to his properties and leading friends, family and clients on hundreds of hunting and fishing trips. His days were best spent hand-feeding deer in the backyard or by telling stories and laughing over a camp fire under the Texas stars with those who knew him best. Bob had a generous heart and was known to readily help out family and friends in need. He will be greatly missed by all but will forever be remembered with love.

Memorial services will be held 2pm Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Goggans Funeral Home Chapel.
