Richard Garner

Richard Don Garner, age 87, of Terrell, passed away April 3, 2022. He is now at peace with his Lord and maker.

Don was born in Forney, TX on June 4, 1934 and was the youngest child of Marion Marshal and Lela (Chism) Garner. Don was raised in Forney until he married and moved to Dallas in 1956, where he began his career in the heavy duty truck parts business. Moving up in the ranks he went from driving a parts delivery truck to outside sales, where he flourished until he retired.

Don loved history and working with his hands. He could build almost anything and in better days he could be found in his workshop or out on the tractor mowing.

Don is survived by daughters, Lanora Garner and Julie Garner, Nephews Larry (wife Jana) Garner, Paul Hart, and niece Pam Paschall, as well as numerous other family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Junior (Marion), Thomas, and sister Dorothy.
