Reba M. Choate, 95, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 12, 2014. Reba was born on January 11, 1919 to William L. and Victoria Nichols in College Mound, Texas. She was a graduate of Terrell High School. Reba met and would later marry W. K. Choate in 1939. to this union were born two daughters, Linda and Nancy. Their romance would last for sixty years. Reba was a self employed businesswoman and entrepreneur. She owned and operated Choate Realty and later had a custom drapery business she ran out of her own home. Reba was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Terrell for over sixty years; as well as member of the Terrell Garden Club. Reba is preceded in death by her parents, William and Victoria Nichols; her beloved husband, W. K. Choate and three brothers. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Linda Placko and her husband Ivan, Nancy Douglas and her husband Jim; granddaughters, Sharon Stekel and her husband Doug, Stephanie Placko; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held the same day, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Elmo Cemetery in Elmo Texas.
