Patsy Smith

Patsy Lynn Smith passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She was a graduate of Terrell High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. Patsy worked as an accountant for forty years at Southland Corporation, Adessa, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas.

She was born in Terrell on February 28, 1950. She is preceded in death by: her parents, Delbert and Virgie Smith; and her sister, Janice Sue Smith. She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Santiago Lopez; sister, Vickie Perry and her husband Randy Perry; and her nephew Jarrod Perry.

Craft shows, knitting, sewing, and volunteering were just a few of her many pleasures. She enjoyed serving on the executive board of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Dallas, and participated in numerous telethons, auctions, and summer camps.

Goggans Funeral Home will be hosting a visitation for Patsy on Saturday, September 23, from 10 AM until 12 PM. Immediately following the visitation hours there will be a procession to the Graveside service at Locust Grove Cemetery in Hiram.

The family would like to thank Dr. William Christensen, special caregiver Barbara Alexander, and the American Home Care Team for their compassion during her sickness.
