Michael John White, Sr. February 11, 1945 – January 19, 2022 (age 76)
Michael “Mike” John White, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 19, 2022 at his home on Cedar Creek Reservoir in Payne Springs, TX. He was born in Dallas, TX and was blessed to have three parents, Juanita (Hays) Carter, and Dewey and Marie (Boby) White.
Mike grew up in Dallas, and was interested in cars since his youth. He owned and operated Mike’s Radiator for 20+ years in Pleasant Grove, TX. Throughout his life, he made many friends and acquaintances, while enjoying his hobbies of talking on his CB radio as the “Bad Habit,” racing cars at Devil’s Bowl in Mesquite, TX, and Thunderbird Speedway in Crandall, TX. He also had a jet drag boat he competed with at various lakes around Texas. He was also a huge NASCAR fan, and most recently took a road trip last October with his grandson Kris, to Talladega, in Lincoln, AL.
Mike was the center of every gathering, and spent many weekends at his home on the lake with both friends and family. No gathering would be without his larger-than-life personality. He and wife, Sharon, would make everyone around them welcome and comfortable. Everyone enjoyed time with Mike hanging out on the deck, in his boat on the lake, or jet skiing and making priceless memories. He was just that awesome.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon White, whom he lovingly called his “Little Bride;” sisters, Cherry Malone and husband Doug, Cindy Culpepper and husband Joe, Gail Vines and husband David, a brother, Winston “Bubba” Carter; sons, Michael White, Jr., Joseph White and wife Amanda, Shawn White; a daughter, Amber Reynolds and husband Jim; grandchildren, Michael White, Elissa Hovey and husband Jordan, Dylan Dust, Cassidy White, Kristopher White, Casey White, Kelsi White, Ashton White, Annabelle White, Shelly White, and five great-grandchildren, Michael Jace White, Karter Dale White, Greyson Walker, Cameron Lee Hovey, and Cole Daniel Hovey.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Juanita Carter, Dewey and Marie White, a sister, Grace Hogan, Aunt, Verna Boby, and an infant son, Richard Dewayne White.
