Michael Mullins

Michael John Mullins, age 70, of Forney passed away on Sunday morning, January 10th, 2021. Michael was born on October 13th, 1950 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the son of Lance Pickard Mullins and Mary Vassett. Michael proudly served his county as a U.S. Army Ranger in the Vietnam War. During his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He would go on to earn his associate degree. Michael married Vicki Halliburtan in Dallas, Texas on June 28th, 2014.

Michael is survived by his wife Vicki; son, Jeremy Johnson; daughter, Samantha Smith; step son, Matthew Nekuza; grandchildren, Connor, Brooklyn, Lexie, Michael, Kaylee, Savannah, and Mila; sisters, Marisue Mullins and Nancy Nytomt; nephews, Gabe and Zach; and niece, Heather; along with numerous friends and family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Lance and Mary.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 3:15 pm in DFW National Cemetery.
