Mary Stephens

Mary Elizabeth Stephens, 81 of Terrell, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Mary was born July 24, 1933 to Ollie and Bertha Evans in Terrell, Texas.Mary would meet and marry Delbert Stephens on December 1, 1951. Mary and Delbert would make their home in Terrell. Mary would work as a CNA in Nursing Services for Terrell State Hospital for over twenty-two years; as well being as active member of her church. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Bertha Evans and sister Fridell Peters. Those left to cherish her memory include Delbert Stephens, her beloved husband for more than sixty-three years; niece, Jadell Mejia; great-nieces, Maria Diaz and her husband Bernardo, Sr. Rosana Mejia and her husband Michael Mings: great-nephew, Roberto Mejia and his wife Annita; great-great nieces and nephews, Bernardo Diaz, Jr., Librado Diaz and Destiny Mejia, Emily Mejia, Robert Mejia, Erica Mings, Darien Mings, Anthony Mings, Joshua Mings, Lacey Mings; as well as extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Brother Jimmy Shepard will officiate. Interment will immediately follow the service at Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell, Texas.
