Mary McLemee

Mary Jo McLemee, 84, lifelong resident of Terrell, passed away on November 8, 2009 in a Rockwall Hospital. Mary Jo was born December 17, 1924 in Terrell, the daughter of William Edward and Mary Elma (Bowling) Moody. She married G B McLemee on April 13, 1941 in Fruitvale. She had worked for the Simmons Mattress Company before she retired. She was a member of Faith Temple Baptist Church in Poetry. Mrs. McLemee is survived by her children, Ira Blake McLemee and his wife Mary R. of Terrell, Billy Joe McLemee of Waldron, AK, Michael McLemee and his wife Betty of Terrell, Thomas Edward McLemee and his wife Lorraine ofTerrell, Gary Bob McLemee and his wife Traci of Terrell, and Shirley Ann McLemee Seim and her husband Richard of Renton, WA; son-in-law, Dennis Hightower of Terrell; 29 Grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends. Mary Jo is preceded in her death by her husband; her parents; a daughter Mary Elizabeth McLemee Hightower, a grandson, Randy Scott McLemee, two brothers, and four sisters. Her funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home (www.goggansfh.com), will be Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 10:00 am at Faith Temple Baptist Church at Poetry, with Rev. Richard Seim officiating. Her burial will follow the service at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
