Marvin Hailey, Sr.

Marvin Marshall Hailey, 93; passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his home in Terrell, Texas. Marvin was born to Henry and Ola Hailey on January 22, 1920 in Kaufman County. Marvin worked for many years for the City of Terrell and was a familiar face around the city until his retirement. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ola; his beloved wife, Alice; his son, Charles Hailey; daughters, Alice McRoy and Elizabeth Boyd. Those left to celebrate his life include his sons; Marvin Hailey Jr. and his wife Eva, Henry Hailey and his wife Judy, William Hailey and his wife Sammie, Bill Hailey and his wife Darlene; daughters, Mary Louise Atchley ("Sally"), Linda Holloway, Lou Ann Williams and her husband Gene, Virgie Robinson and her husband Rolan, Suzie Adams and her husband Eddie; numerous grandchildren great-grandchildren; his special niece and caregiver, Marie Baker; numerous nieces and nephew and other extended family; as well as many friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The interment will immediately follow the service at Morrow Chapel Cemetery in Ola, Texas.
