Margie Spears

Margie Spears, 83, of Terrell, passed away June 10, 2011 in the peace of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 7, 1928 in Lamar County, the daughter of F. Stephens and Mary Alice (Clark) Stephens. Margie married Lester C. Spears on September 26, 1942 in Cunningham. She was of the Assembly of God Faith and retired from Terrell State Hospital. She had lived and served the Terrell Community since 1949. She is survived by her sons, Oscar Spears and Bobby Lee Spears and wife Mary of Terrell; grandchildren, Brandy Lee Cook, Jennifer Spears Cheek, Chris Spears, Justin Spears, Jamie Blackburn, and Tiera Blackburn; great grandchildren, Mason, Avery, and Ella Cheek, Ashton and Austin Spears, Preston and Carys Cook, and Kadence and Matthew Spears; sisters, Pearl Smith of East Delta, Stella Tucker of Plano, and Camela Goss of Granbury; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by husband; her parents; two sons, Carel Wayne Spears and Donald Lee Spears; sisters, Clara Lee Kelly, Madine Ailes, and Burldine Sneed; and brother, Albert Stephens. Her service is planned for Monday, June 13, at 10:00 am at Goggans Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Sheppard officiating. Her burial will follow the service in the Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell. Visitation with the family is planned for Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
