Margaret Gattenby

Margaret Jane Gattenby, 78, passed peacefully Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Windsor Care Center in Terrell. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00am - 1:00pm Saturday March 5, 2016 at Goggans Funeral Home in Terrell, TX. A family interment service will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Jane was born, the 6th out of 10 children, to Homer Elmer Randall and Ruthie Marie Yuncker Randall in Miami, OK on February 4, 1938. She met and later married her husband Clarence Olen Gattenby in the fall of 1955 in McAlister, OK. Jane worked at Terrell ISD as Cafeteria Manger for several years until she retired in 2006. Her love of music, dancing, playing cards is what occupied her free time. The most special time that consumed her was the time she was able to spend with her family. Jane was a very caring and generous person with a big heart, which showed in the affection she gave her family and to the animals she raised and cared for.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Clarence Olen Gattenby of 60 years; son Warren Gattenby and wife Jacque; daughter Lucinda Gattenby and husband Don Smola; son Randall Gattenby and wife Debbie; daughter Elizabeth Cawley and husband Maury; sister Frances Fox; brother Herbert Randall and wife Maria. Grandchildren Danielle and husband Mike Howie; Rachel Gattenby; Elaine Gattenby; Lorna Korywchak and wife Kelsey; Carin Carvajal; Adam and wife Jessica Treuthardt; Ryan Treuthardt; Ashley Cureton; Jacqulynn Cureton; Haley Cureton; Evan Paine; Hunter Paine; Hannah Paine; Great Grandchildren Annabelle Gattenby; Jeremy Howie; Madelyn Howie; Freya Treuthardt; Lorelai Treuthardt; Jayden Lawrence; Addison Azilla. Jane is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Powler, Norma Rohmiller and Alice Faye Randall; brothers Alan Randall; George Randall; Elmer Randall and Ross Randall.
