Lucy Rorie

Lucy Rorie, 100, of Bedford, formerly of Terrell, passed away on May 5, 2010. She was born on March 28, 1910 in Red Oak, the daughter of Manly and Clema (Smith) Sebring. She married Raymond A. Rorie in Kaufman County, November of 1927. She retired from Terrell State Hospital in 1975 and was of the Baptist Faith. Lucy is survived by her daughter, Glenda Miller of Irving; three granddaughters, Ronda Lowder and her husband Kevin of Wichita Falls, Allison Hendricks of Roanoke, and Sheryl Eudy and her husband Chris of Oak Point; three great grandchildren, Brandy Turner, Jacob Hendricks, and Alex Eudy; four great-great grandchildren, Blake Turner, Joseph Aguilar, Kayden White, and Jax White; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, six brothers; daughter, Dorothy Spiva; grandson, Curtis Spiva; and good friend, C. D. Farmer. Her funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be Saturday, May 8, at 2:00 PM at Radar Cemetery on highway 429 , located about five miles South of I 30 with Pastor John Lowery officiating.
