Lucille Brin Rosenzweig, born June 6, 1915 in Chicago, Ill to Jack and Hattie Brin. Married Donald Rosenzweig on Jan. 7, 1939 who preceded her in death on Jan.10, 1989. Don and Lucille owned Don's Shoe Store in Terrell, Texas for 30 years. She was active in the Eastern Star, Council of Jewish Women and Volunteers of Terrell State Hospital. Survived by two daughters, Jai Burns of Tucson, Ariz. and Sara Panter of Odessa; four grandchildren, Wendi Birkhead-Aurand of Lake Havasu, Ariz., David Birkhead of Leipzig, Germany, Daniel Panter of Jerusalem, Israel and Samuel Panter of Houston; two great-granddaughters; and lifelong friends, Margaret and Charles Dudley, of Elmo. She died Nov.29 2009 in Terrell, Texas. Her graveside service at Temple Emanuel Cemetery in Dallas will be Tuesday, December 1, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, phone number 972-524-4141, website, www.goggansfh.com., with Rabi Ascher Knight officiating. The family request that in lieu of flowers that donations in her memory be made to Terrell State Hospital Volunteer Services or Temple Emanuel, Dallas.
