Larry Matthews

Larry Arnold Matthews was born October 22, 1945 in Houston, Texas to Arnold and Gladys (Welch) Matthews. He grew up in Irving and graduated from Irving High School. Larry and Sherry met in high school and married in 1965. Larry worked in commercial construction from 1964- 2000. In 2000, he retired from construction and transitioned into full-time ranching and established Ranchers Feed and Supply in Terrell, Texas in 2001.

Larry enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, hunting and working with his cows. He was a supporter of youth organizations and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kaufman.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Gladys Matthews. He is survived by his loving wife Sherry, eldest son Bart and wife Jamie, daughter Laura, and youngest son Clint and wife Jennifer. Grandchildren are Rachel Jones, and Emily and Hayden Matthews. His sisters are Kathryn Butler and Nancy Matthews Johnston and husband Wes.
