L. Maxwell

L. W. Jimmy Maxwell, 87, passed away February 26, 2012 in Kaufman. He was born May2, 1924 in Carson, OK, the son of Charley Newton and Margie (White) Maxwell. Lenal married Mildred Wilmeth Lewis on October 13, 1941. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist church in Terrell. He was an oil field mechanic for Colpitt Oil and Gas Company. Mr. Maxwell is survived by two children, Gary Maxwell and his wife Winnie of Crandall and Bonnie Reichel and her husband Cliff of Terrell; four grandchildren, Tracy, Alecia, Jennifer, and Jeremy; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Maxwell; son, Jimmy Delane Maxwell; brothers, Daniel, Lee, Hoyt, and Jay Maxwell; sisters, Imogene Maxwell Cullen and Pearl Maxwell Bates. His funeral service is planned for Wednesday, February 29 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Goggans Funeral Home with Brother David Hammond officiating. His burial will follow the service in Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell. Visitation with the family is planned for Tuesday night, February 28, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
