Joan Garner

Marie Joan Garner, 65, of Terrell, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Kaufman, Texas. Joan was born on April 22, 1947 to Sylvester and Ann Hilla in Detroit, Michigan. Joan met and would later marry Jerry Garner in 1967 in Utica, Michigan. They would have two children, Cory and Shane. Joan would for work for a time as a secretary for Southern Fiberglass and later Mr. Tax. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Ann Hilla. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jerry Garner; sons, Cory and Shane Garner; granddaughter, Madison Garner; sisters, Nancy Carter and Arlene Kennedy; as well as extended family, friends and neighbors. At this time no service is scheduled.
