After a long battle with cancer, Jeff A Harris, born in Aransas Pass Texas on May 15th, 1959, went to his heavenly home on June 21st, 2022. Jeff will be greeted in heaven by his mother, Mary Jeff Harris (Aldridge), father, Joseph Elton Harris Jr., brother, William Elton Harris, and sister, Bonnie Jo Berna (Harris). The family will be holding a gathering to remember him at a later date.
Jeff enjoyed the outdoors and nature. He spent much of his time regaling others with fond memories of fishing or gardening. He resided in many cities across Texas but always referred to the small town of Aransas Pass as home. Jeff was passionate about reading the bible and sharing his faith with others. While in a nursing home, he established a small Sunday School group with others when he noticed many patriots could not leave to attend a church service. Jeff was resilient and always stayed busy. Even toward the end of his life he was full of energy and enjoyed talking and sharing with others.
Jeff was recently reunited with his biological daughter and for 3 years had been establishing a relationship with her. Jeff and the family were able to meet her for the first, but not final, time only a month before his passing. He leaves behind the gift of a large and loving family for his biological daughter and biological grandchildren.
Jeff is survived by his biological daughter; Angelina (Chelle) Boyd and her husband Nathan; two biological grandchildren, Patrick and Riley, a step-grandson, Kameron; brother, Robert Marion Harris; sisters, Rebekka Lee Harris and Dura Elizabeth Burgess (Harris); many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jeff’s last wish was for all to remember the good times, share memories, and celebrate his new life with the Father. He is finally at peace in this world and welcomed eternal life at the Lord’s will.
