Funeral Services for Jadell Mejia, age 61, of Terrell will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church with Father James Orosco officiating and B.J. Diaz, Leo Diaz, Robert Mejia, Darien Mings, Anthony Mings, and Joshua Mings serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday, June 19th, 2023 at Goggans Funeral Home. Jadell passed away on June 12th, 2023 in Garland, Texas.

Jadell was born on May 5th, 1962 in Terrell, Texas to Fridell Peters. She married the love of her life, Roberto Mejia on August 25th, 1978. Jadell worked as a Notary Public and ran her own book keeping service. She also worked as an interpreter for Early Childhood Intervention and as a PNA at Terrell State Hospital. In her spare time, her hobbies included reading, listening to music, and researching the family tree.

Jadell is survived by her daughter, Maria Diaz and spouse Bernardo Diaz; son, Roberto Mejia; daughter, Rosana Mejia and spouse Michael Mings; grandchildren, B.J. Diaz, Leo Diaz, Destiny Mejia, Emily Mejia, Robert Mejia, Erica Mings, Darien Mings, Anthony Mings, Joshua Mings, and Lacey Mings.

Jadell was preceded in death by her mother, Fridell Peters and her husband, Roberto Mejia.
