Jack Nealy

Jack P. Nealy, lovingly known as "Poppy", passed away Friday, October 14, in a Dallas hospital. Jack was born December 29, 1935 in the Poetry Community. Jack worked many years in the automotive repair business and later for the Terrell Independent School District. He is preceded in death by his father, William George Nealy and his mother, Berneice Chapman Nealy and brother, William George "Billy" Nealy Jr. He is survived by his wife Barbara Nealy, children, Joe Smith and wife Cindy; Beverly Vaughn and husband Jim. Three grandchildren, Abigail, Zane and wife Tara, and Alex. Two great-granddaughters Serenity and Addyson. Sisters Norma Ussrey and husband Al; Mary Hawkins and husband Gene; and brother Al Nealy. Visitation with family will be held at Goggans Funeral Home, Sunday, October 16 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. also at Goggans. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Association.
