Idonna Carter

Idonna Marie Carter, of Royse City, was taken home by our dear Lord on December 4th, 2011. She was born March 1, 1935. She was preceded in death by her precious husband, Vincent Carter. Our family is comforted knowing that they are together again. She loved to play Bingo and Rummy but most of all she had a passion for reading. Prior to living in Royse City she resided in Commerce for many years and worked for Walmart there. Idonna and her dog Snow were inseparable. She is survived by her two daughters, Jean Adair Carter of Commerce and Diane Elizabeth Thomas of Royse City; son-in-law, Mel Thomas of Royse City; brother, Dave Carter of Akron, Ohio; grandchildren, James Thomas, Mary Burrows, Vanessa Thomas, Jevin Burrows and Lauren Ramirez; and her cherished 9 great grandchildren. She also had a very special place in her heart for the following friends who will miss her as much as we will: Amy Doster, Ethan Doster, Keli Wilson and Teresa Toohey.
