Hazel Walker

Hazel Inez Walker, 83, of Terrell, passed away on December 11, 2010 at her home. She was born on January 13, 1927 in Childress, the daughter of Henry Edgar and Silva Rosalee (Hall) Gilliam. She married William Joseph Joe Walker and he precedes her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Aubrey Gilliam, Sr., Joseph Arnold Gilliam, and Tom Mix Gilliam, Sr.; and sister, Loudean Gilliam. Left to cherish the memories of her life are her sisters, Freddie Louse Cameron of Ft. Stockton and Wanda Mathis and her husband Franklin Lee of Quinlan; brothers, Bobby Gilliam and his wife Idell of Kaufman and Billy Jack Gilliam and his wife Brenda of Terrell; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Her graveside service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 15, at Ashworth Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Kines officiating. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
