Harold "Tex" Dane Whitehead

Harold “Tex” Dane Whitehead, age 90 of Terrell passed away peacefully on June 14, 2022. Harold was born in San Augustine, Texas on November 21, 1931. He was the son of Lloyd Whitehead and Rena Bell Eddins. After serving in the Air Force from 1951-1954, he married Dolores Cooper and started working at Goodyear which led to a 30 year career. After retiring, Harold enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, golfing, fishing with his kids and grandkids, and built a shop for his woodworking. We all know how much he loved to play the lotto, too! 

Harold is survived by his 4 children; Renee (Rick), Cheryl, Jackie (Tim), and Dana. Grandchildren; Ricky (Judith), Mark, Skip (Joy), Andy (Melisa), Jennifer (Mark), Danny (Aimee), Patrick, Skye, Emily, and Katie. Great Grandchildren; Hazel, Baby he or she to be, Ryan, Samantha, Hayden, Logan, Jerrod (Corina), Anthony, Hailey, Cobey, and Annabelle; and his Sister Jean, nieces Vicki & Robin, and their children and grandchildren.

Harold’s private celebration of life for friends and family will be held at his home on July 23, 2022 at 9am.
