Grady Gunter

Grady Edwin Gunter died peacefully in his home in Kaufman County on Saturday, July 21, 2012. He was born on November 26, 1931 in Weston, to Grady Lee and Lizzie Mae (Knight) Gunter, both of whom predeceased him. He served in the US Air Force from 1952 " 1956 and the reserves until 1960. A man with a good heart and strong work ethic, he was the owner of an office machine business in Dallas for 30 years. After retiring he continued to work in trailer sales until he was 72, all of which supported his true passion, quarter horses. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Weaver Gunter; his former wife and lifetime friend, Patricia Reilly Gunter; stepchildren, Carrie Weaver and Lynn Weaver; brothers, Joseph and Jo Ann Gunter, and Walter Eugene and Francile Gunter; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 2 pm at Goggans Funeral Home in Terrell. Interment will immediately follow the service in Oakland Memorial Park.
