Gayle Trent

Gayle Trent, 62, of Garland, passed away Saturday morning, December 26, 2009 in a Rockwall hospital. Gayle was born on May 7, 1947 in Norman, Oklahoma, the son of Chester Grant and Helen Inez (Holcomb) Trent. He married Linda Kay Mc Ferrin in November of 1983 in Plano. Gayle was a self employed master plumber and a member of Grace Fellowship Christian Church in Garland. He loved to play bluegrass music and was associated with the Texas Bluegrass Net Work. Family members who are cherishing the memories of Gayles life are his wife, Linda Trent of Garland; five sons, Bryan Trent of Claremore, OK, Scott Trent and his wife Jeany Lou of Claremore, OK, Jason Trent of Waco, Robert Trent and his wife Diane of Rockwall, and William Trent of Garland; three grandchildren, Bryan Allen Trent, Jr., PFC US MC, Tara Rae- Lynn Trent, and Robert Hayden Trent; two brothers, Dale Trent and his wife Judy of Midwest City, OK and Jerry Trent and his wife Diane of Del City, OK; three sisters, Helen Kay Rogers and her husband Curtis of Elk City, OK, Melody Faught of Del City, OK, and Ann Felts and her husband Morris of Reno, NV; and numerous nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, other relatives and friends. Gayle is preceded in his death by his parents. His memorial service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, www.goggansfh.com, will be Saturday, January 2, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Brother David Hammond officiating.
