Gary Wayne Craig, 65, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Terrell, Texas. He was born on October 12, 1947 in National City, California to his parents Colby and Imogean Craig. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army from July 1968 to July 1971. He served on the DMZ in Korea and was later stationed at Ft. Hood where he met the love of his life Alice. They were married on April 22, 1972. He was self-employed as a painter and enjoyed bass fishing. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Alice Craig of Terrell; sons, Steve Kelly of Plano, Mike Craig and wife Mary of Terrell, Matt Craig and wife Robbi of Austin; daughter, Chris Shavel and husband Steve of Plano; granddaughter, Lauren Craig of Terrell; grandson, Jackson Craig of Austin; sister, Pamela Daguro and husband Scotty of Huntington Beach, California; brother, Randy Craig and wife Monica of Sacramento, California; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Colby and Imogean Craig. A graveside ceremony and interement with military honors will be held for Gary at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:30 a.m.
