Freda Louise Irving, 82, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013 in Terrell, Texas. Freda was born on April 13, 1931 to William and Ambia Belle Hixon in West Plains, Missouri. Freda was the youngest of six children in this family. Her family would move to California when she was none years old. Freda would meet and later marry Martin Bridges on Christmas Eve, 1993. Freda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant primarily in the Home Health Care industry. Her giving heart and open arms made Freda a loving caregiver for those cared for. Freda is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ambia Belle; brothers, Alfred Hixon and Robert Hixon; sisters Hazel Williams, Virginia Peachie Balch and Flora Betty Mooney. She is survived by her husband, Martin Bridges; daughters Ginger Hawkins and her husband Allen, Gayle Bailey and her husband David; sons Paul Bridges and his wife Jennifer, Martin Bridges and Keelan Bridges; grandchildren, Kristan Forloine, Brian and Mark Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Neiva, Sophia and Ander Hawkins, and Rylee and Kolton Forloine; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held in Fredas honor on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Terrell at 1:30 p.m. p.m. A private burial will take place at Weaver Cemetery.
