Floyd Allen

Floyd Allen, Sr., 65, passed away April 14, 2012 in the peace of his home. He was born September 19, 1946 in Dallas, the son of Lester Albert and Fannie Violet (Dillard) Allen. Floyd married Linda Ann Kunkel on February 7, 2002 in Terrell. He served his country in the Army and received the following decorations: Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 60, Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, and Expert Rifleman in both M-16 and M-14. Mr. Allen is survived by three children, Leslie Brock and wife Patti, Jo Ann Case and husband Lee, and Floyd Allen, Jr.; grandchildren, Samantha Case, Ellen Case, and Christopher Case; sister, Berthine Werner; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Ann Allen; parents, Lester and Fannie Allen; and brother, Richard Allen. His memorial service is being planned for Thursday, April 19, at 10 AM in the chapel of Goggans Funeral Home.
