Eugene Charles Morgan

On Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of 81, Eugene Charles Morgan, went home to be with the Lord. 

Eugene Charles Morgan was born on August 15, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Josephine (Prothman) Morgan as well as two of his brothers, Edward and Jerry Morgan. 

Gene served honorably in the United States Navy from 1961 -1964 on the USS Bennington after enlisting at the ripe old age of 17. 

After returning home, he followed his family’s tradition and became a master plumber and although this was his chosen profession, his passion in life was soul winning for the Lord. 

We are confident that Gene is rejoicing in Heaven today with those that he led to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Eugene was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Margaret, who he was married to for thirty-seven years as well as his second wife of fifteen years, Nancy.

Eugene is survived by his life partner, Ms. Genevieve and his children, Joann and her husband Thomas McCoy, Meshell Austin, Scott Morgan and his wife Angela, as well as Nancy’s daughter, Jessica Torres, and Margaret’s children, Tammy Tidwell and Dennis Barron. His grandchildren, Matthew McCoy and wife Randi, David McCoy and his wife Alyssa, Jarrod Austin and his wife Amber, Katherine McCoy, Lacie Ross and her husband DJ, Shelby Baldwin, Travis Morgan and his wife Anastasia, Mason Torres, Garron Torres, Bryan Morgan, and Sarah Morgan as well as 13 great-grandchildren and his brother, Thomas Morgan and his wife Jean. 

There will be a Celebration of Life Service held at noon on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Community Baptist Church in Royse City with Pastor Les Joslin and Scott Morgan Officiating. 

Interment will precede the memorial service on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
