Eleanor Cox

Eleanor Mae Cox, 86, resident of Albany, Georgia, formerly of Terrell, passed away on October 18, 2009 in the peace of her home. Eleanor was born March 29, 1923 in Fairlawn, New Jersey to William and Jenny (Carlough) Wachter. She married James Albert Cox on December 2, 1943 in Elkton, Maryland. He preceded her in death on July, 20, 1998. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family very much. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. Mrs. Cox is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Luttrell and her husband James of Albany, Georgia; 2 grandsons, David McCombs and his wife Kerry of Kennedale and Scott McCombs and his wife Lauren of Rowlett; two great granddaughters, Sarah and Abbey McCombs; and one nephew, William Rosky and his wife Evelyn of Mahwah, New Jersey. Her graveside service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 2:00 pm at College Mound Cemetery, with Brother David Hammond officiating. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 12:00 to 1:30 at the funeral home.
