Edna Sanders

Edna Lee Sanders (Wilson) passed away at home in Seagoville, TX, on August 01, 2021 at the age of 101. The visitation will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Seagoville First United Methodist Church, 101 S. Kaufman, Seagoville, TX 75159. The funeral service will be held at Seagoville First United Methodist Church, 101 S. Kaufman on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dana Kent officiating.

Edna is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Weldon, her father and mother, Frank and Jessie Wilson, all 10 brothers and sisters, her son Frank, and her grandchildren, Kamaron and Glynn.

Edna is lovingly remembered by her son, Weldon Sanders of Seagoville, TX, her grandsons Keri and Bert Sanders, her great-granddaughters Carson, Kyra, and Abigail, and great-great-grandson Kamaron.

Edna was born in Fields Store, Waller County, TX, on January 10, 1920. She graduated from Waller High School in 1937 and went on to business college in Houston. She worked in the Waller County Clerk's Office until marriage. Edna was, first of all, a mother and wife (and a great cook). Cub Scout Den Mother, enjoyed annual family camping trips throughout the United States, sewed many a shirt from feed sacks she picked out at the feed store, and sewed and constructed many a costume for school plays.

Edna was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church.
