Donna Rea Turner left this earth on June 26, 2021. Donna was born on November 29, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Letha Mae McGowan Turner and Lawrence Doyle Turner. She passed at home peacefully, surrounded by friends and family.
She was living in Irving, Texas before moving to Mabank, Texas in 2013.
Donna had a very tender heart, would always cry watching sad movies and some happy ones. She was a clown and loved to make others laugh. She loved unconditionally.
Donna loved playing her guitar and singing for her friends and family. Those that heard her said she had a voice of an angel. She enjoyed RV camping, crossword puzzles, and playing Canasta.
She took off a year from work to travel the United States in 1980. Shortly after returning from the trip she went to work for JC Penney's corporate offices in Plano, Texas. She retired after 25 years of service.
Donna had recently become a strong believer in Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her brother, Lawrence Doyle Turner JR. of Tool, TX; two adopted sisters, Glenda Watkins of Mabank, TX and Jan Perilla of Las Vegas, Nevada; nieces and nephews, Cory Glanton of Dallas, TX, Ashley Pease and husband Jeremy Pease of Dallas, TX, Emily Stansbury and husband Todd Stansbury, Mandy Gilligan and husband Sean Gilligan of Dallas, TX; along with several great nephews, nieces, cousins and many many friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Mary Turner Glanton.
