Dixie Ann Woolsey

Dixie Ann Woolsey (Carpenter) died peacefully on February 5th in Terrell, TX at the age of 71.

Dixie is survived by her sons Joey Catlin and his wife Shaney, Fred Woolsey and Matthew Woolsey. Siblings Craig Carpenter, Carol Robinson, and Andy Carpenter. Grandson Ricky Woolsey. Granddaughters Amber Nichole Catlin and Dixie Rose Catlin. and great grand kids Hailey Nichole Pickering and Landon Dale Pickering.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frederick William Woolsey JR.

Dixie was born on August, 28th 1951 in Dallas, TX to Mary Alice McMillen and Hollis O'Donal Carpenter. She married Frederick William Woolsey Jr in 1977.

After the death of her husband Fred she said "I'm not afraid of dying, in fact I'm looking forward to it, so I can see your father again". While no relationship is perfect Dixie and Fred loved each other very much and you rarely saw one without the other. When Fred took a job in Sarasota, FL, Dixie was not sure what was to come but it ended up being the happiest time in her life. Every other weekend it seemed she would call to talk about a trip to the beach, Bush gardens, some nature preserve, or a weekend road trip they had taken. They retired back to Texas to be with family but Fred died shortly after and she was never the same. "Fred was my soul mate" she would say, tears swelling "I don't even know what to do without him".

Dixie said she didn't want a funeral, just to be placed in an urn next to "the love of my life".

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Terrell Healthcare Center and Hospice Plus Terrell for taking care of her in her final hours
