Delbert Stephens

Delbert Leon Stephens, age 90, of Terrell, Texas passed on February 24, 2022. Delbert was born February 14, 1932 in Emory, TX to Elijah Joshua Stephens and Naomi Adaline Johnson Stephens.

Delbert later went on to marry his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth Stephens in 1949 in Kaufman, Texas. He was a hardworking man, who spent years at and retired from Terrell State Hospital. He enjoyed working outside, cooking, reading the bible, and spending time with his loved ones.

He is survived by his sister, Marion Anneice Luellen; brother, Ardith Wilburn Stephens; numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Delbert was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Stephens; mother, Naomi Stephens; father, Elijah Stephens; brothers, J.P. Stephens; Earl Stephens, Ralph Stephens, Lloyd Stephens, Arlie Stephens, Tommy Stephens, Eddie (Bud) Stephens; sisters, Lois Elliott, Olivia Hagan, Mary Lee Elliott.
