Bill Wilkins, 81, of Terrell, passed away July 16, 2011 in Mesquite. He was born on August 27, 1929 in Ft. Worth, the son of Jack and Winnie Bell (Eubanks) Wilkins. He married Gladys Ivy on December 31, 1980 at Laredo. He was a newspaper contractor for Dallas Morning News before his retiring and was of the Methodist Faith. He served his country in the US Navy and was a member of the Terrell VFW, Terrell American Legion, and the Terrell Masonic Lodge. Bill is survived by his wife; his children, Lisa Marie Farthing of Dallas, Lori Ann Parker and her husband Simon of England, John Anthony Wilkins and his wife Carlye of Glendale, California; three grandchildren, Kyle, Jade Marie, and Nathan; step children, Vicky Easterling of Prosper, Kay Shields of Dallas, and Perry Shields of Terrell; seven step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren. Bill is preceded in his death by his parents and step child, Kim Looper. Visitation with the family will be Thursday night, July 21, from 6 to 8 at Goggans Funeral Home.
