Arthur Morgan

Arthur Monroe Morgan, known by his friends as Buckwheat and his co-workers as Killer , age 68, of Terrell, passed away on June 3, 2010. He was born on October 10, 1941 in Dallas, the son of Arthur and Mary Frances (Neely) Morgan. He married Linda Nell Hines on December 21, 1962. He was a helicopter mechanic for Bell Helicopter for 37 years before his retiring. Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife Linda; son, Scott Monroe Morgan of the Woodlands; two daughters, Debbie Melton of Vidor and Dana Lee Morgan of Dallas; three grandchildren, Jason Melton, Connor Morgan, and Trevor Morgan; three sisters, Joann King of Dallas, Patricia Eversole of Houston and Loretta Kamp of Midlothian; numerous nephews, and many other relatives; life long friend, Tommy Johnson; and many other friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Maw and Paw Neely. His funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, is Monday, June 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the funeral homes chapel with Rev. Anthony Brigham officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell. Visitation with the family is Sunday, 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Arthur can be made to the Bloomfield Lodge No. 112, Kaufman, TX 75142.
