Alma Clemons

Alma Lee Clemons, 92, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in Forney, Texas. Alma was born to Elmer and Vera Green in Hiram, Texas on May 16, 1920. She met and later married Winford C. Clemons in 1939 in Hiram. To this union were born three children; Johnny, Margie and Elaine. Almas passion was creating and maintaining a loving and safe home for her family. Alma is preceded is death by her parents, Elmer and Vera; her beloved husband, W.C.; one brother and three sisters. Those left to celebrate her life include her son: Johnny Clemons and his wife Linda; daughters, Margie Enochs and Elaine Smith; grandchildren, Lisa Burton and her husband Billy, Mark Clemons and his wife Linda, Polly Burton and her husband Gary, Monty Clemons, Debbie Atteberry and her husband Mark, Bobby Enochs and his wife Hope and Mike Smith and his wife Jennifer; fifteen great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren; as well as her extended family, Tom and Debi Smith; Cynthia and Lanny Spruill and their children; as well as numerous nieces, friends and neighbors. She will truly be missed. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. also at Goggans Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Price Officiating. A private interment will follow at Radar Cemetery.
