Alice McRoy

Alice Marie McRoy, 59, of Terrell, went on to her heavenly Father December 16, 2010. She was born on November 12, 1951 in Terrell, the daughter of Marvin Marshall and Alice Zenta (Hicks) Hailey. She married Lonnie Ray McRoy and he precedes her in death. She was a loving wife and mother. She is also preceded in death by her mother, Alice Hailey and brother, Charles Edward Hailey. Mrs. McRoy is survived by her father, Marvin Hailey of Elmo; daughter, Cindy McRoy of Terrell; son, Lonnie McRoy, Jr. of Terrell; her loving grandchildren, Aaron McRoy of Mesquite, Shane Rickman of Terrell, and Kaley McRoy of Gilmer; six loving sisters and four loving brothers; numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives. Alice had a large extended family that surrounded her with love. She will be remembered as someone who opened her home and heart to everyone. Her graveside service will be 2:00 PM on Monday, December 20, at Morrow Chapel Cemetery in Ola with Pastor Eugene Williams officiating. Visitation with the family is Saturday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home in Terrell.
