Albert Fowler

Albert Maurice Fowler, 86; passed peacefully away at his home in Terrell Texas on July 31, 2014. Albert was born in St. Elizabeth Jamaica to Ivan and Pearl Fowler on September 17, 1927. Albert served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) during World War II. Albert worked for over twenty-five years at Terrell State Hospital in the maintenance department. Albert is preceded in death by Joyce, his wife of fifty-five years; his parents, Ivan and Pearl Fowler and his brother, Ronald Fowler. Those left to celebrate his life include his sons, Leighton Fowler and his wife Nancy, Patrick Fowler and his wife Marcia, Phillip Fowler and his wife Jeannie, Peter John Fowler and his wife Eileen; daughters, Maureen McLaughlin and Deniese Smellie; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Carmelita Racktraw and Elaine Rousseau; friend and companion, Janice Weidler; as well numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 8,2014 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Albert's name to the Salvation Army.
